They enter the conference meet as the top ranked team in Division II. The Eagles have made it five straight weeks at number one in the women's USTFCCCA Division II Coaches Indoor Track and Field Power Rankings, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced today. The only week in which Ashland was not the top ranked team was on January 24th, the first Division II indoor rankings of 2008. Spots two through four this week remained the same with No. 2 South Dakota, No. 3 Grand Valley State and No. 4 Missouri Southern State. Grand Valley State enters the GLIAC Championships looking to win their eighth straight GLIAC indoor team title. Abilene Christian moves up to No. 5 this week after being ranked tenth in last week's power rankings. Following Abilene is No. 6 Central Missouri and No. 7 Minnesota-Duluth. Minnesota-Duluth enters the rankings for the first time this season. The top ten is completed with No. 8 Nebraska-Kearney, No. 9 Adams State and No. 10 Southern Illinois-Edwardsville. A team's total point score is the sum of all points earned by that team in each event. Teams are allowed to select up to two athletes per event, and an athlete can only be used in a maximum of three events (not including relays). Only one relay team per event can be selected. Schools are responsible for submitting their own results. The 2008 NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships will be held March 14-15 at Myers Field House on the campus of Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minn.
