View Women's Release | View Complete National Rankings NEW ORLEANS - With many of the teams taking off last week or sending a few athletes to tune-up meets, the landscape of the rankings saw very little change. The top seven spots remained the same this week with Arizona State retaining their top ranking for the second straight week in the men's USTFCCCA Division I Track and Field rankings released today by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Rankings eight through 12 saw some shuffling this week with No. 8 Northern Iowa and No. 9 Florida changing spots in the rankings. No. 10 Texas A&M and No. 11 Boise State each moved up one spot this week, while No. 12 Oregon fell two places in the rankings. Wisconsin, Georgetown and Missouri entered the top 25 this week. No. 13 Wisconsin and No. 25 Missouri entered the rankings for the first time during the regular season. They both were ranked in the preseason poll on December 18th (Wisconsin-15th / Missouri-23rd). No. 18 Georgetown moved back into the rankings following a one-week hiatus. The majority of conference meets will be contested this weekend, beginning tomorrow with the Atlantic Coast Conference, the Big Sky Conference, the Mountain West Conference, and the Western Athletic Conference. The Big 12 and SEC conference meets should be hotly contested as the Big 12 has seven teams in the top 25 while the SEC has six teams in the top 25. The 2008 USTFCCCA Division I Rankings are released on Wednesdays during the indoor season. The rankings are compiled by Tom Lewis, assistant sports information director at Missouri. The 2008 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held March 14-15 in Fayetteville, Ark.
LSU is this week's top-ranked women's team. For more information about the rankings, please visit www.ustfccca.org. USTFCCCA Division I Men's Indoor Track and Field Rankings
