NEW ORLEANS - The LSU Lady Tigers continue to hold onto the coveted top-ranked spot in this week's USTFCCCA Division I women's indoor track and field rankings as the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced the top 25 today. The top four teams in this week's rankings remain unchanged from the January 30th rankings. Following LSU is second-ranked Tennessee, No. 3 Texas A&M and No. 4 Arkansas. Moving into the top five this week at No. 5 is Oregon, who was ranked 23rd last week. Michigan, Baylor, Florida, Virginia Tech and Arizona State make up spots six through ten in the rankings. No. 6 Baylor, No. 7 Florida and No. 10 Arizona State entered the top ten this week. No. 15 Kentucky, No. 16 Nebraska, No. 23 Washington and No. 25 TCU all made their debuts into the top 25 this week. The 2008 USTFCCCA Division I Rankings are released on Wednesdays during the indoor season. The rankings are compiled by Tom Lewis, assistant sports information director at Missouri. The 2008 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held March 14-15 in Fayetteville, Ark. Tennessee is No. 1 in this week's Division I men's rankings.
